Homeless Initiative

Many people will ask what's the difference between a restoration camp, and this homeless initiative, and they will be right to say that they are just the same.

People who have been institutionalized, are great candidates who can get restored, but those who have given up, thrown away, cast aside. These people still need housing, food, a place to shower.

Many of them have toes, that are riddled with infection, unable to take their socks off for many weeks at a time. Someone in their shoes, one of the best gifts that we can give, is a pair of clean socks and a shower.

Sometimes, when we have given up, many of them falling under substance abuse, mental health, and lack of skill, brain damage. Restoration houses are for those who feel if they were given a chance, they could find their way to a happy, healthy life.

People in need, a clean environment, a place to live.

The homeless have very different lives than we can imagine, oftentimes struggling to get one thing done per day. Unable to meet appointments, maintain schedules, pay for rehabilitation, care for themselves.

To-date trailer parks, double-wide, places where people can learn to feel human again, some may be too unhealthy or thrown off before they can effectively rejoin society.

For those who've given up:

An example could be something like: 1 shared modem of transportation, 6 people to a house.

There is:

  • The excited, motivated and eager folks, who given a chance, would do well, with nothing to their name.

_____________

  • Those who've given up: years on the street, unable to work, victims of the worlds unattended affairs.

Those who've given up, will still be placed, cared for, with limited oversight as an institution of grace. We pray that they may heal themselves, and find hope, as they restore themselves back to feeling human again.

Many of these individuals have only been cared for in jail, and a real-world humanizing is needed and some time off, believe it or not, homeless, jobless people, actually need time off.
